Treatment Time

Appointments typically take around 60 minutes, depending on the treatment and area.

What Does It Feel Like?

You may experience a warm, prickling or scratching sensation during treatment.

Some areas can feel more sensitive than others. Your comfort will be monitored throughout the appointment.

Is There Any Downtime?

Microneedling has minimal downtime, although your skin will look red immediately afterwards, similar to a mild sunburn.

You may also experience:

• Redness

• Warmth

• Mild swelling

• Tightness

• Sensitivity

• Dryness or mild peeling

These effects generally settle over the following few days, although recovery varies depending on the depth and area treated.

When Will I See Results?

You may notice your skin looking brighter and more refreshed shortly after treatment, but the deeper benefits develop gradually.

As your skin produces new collagen and elastin, improvements in texture, firmness and overall skin quality become more noticeable over the following weeks.

Results are cumulative, which is why a course of treatments is generally recommended.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

The number of treatments depends on what we're treating.

For general skin rejuvenation, fine lines, uneven tone and texture, a course of approximately 4–6 treatments may be recommended.

For more established concerns such as scarring, a longer course may be appropriate.

Treatments are typically spaced around 3–6 weeks apart, depending on your skin and treatment plan.
